Joel & Marilyn Khopang

Joel is from the Anung tribe in Burma.  He is married to Eugene & Helen Morse's second daughter, Marilyn.  Joel works among the Lisu, Lahu, Anung, Shan, and Pathong tribal groups in many Northern villages in Thailand as well as other unreached people groups in S.E. Asian countries. The ministry includes outreach evangelism, church planting, leadership training and literature translation. Marilyn is involved in music ministry that shares the gospel through music in places beyond our borders. She writes and creates many CDs and DVDs that are distributed and enjoyed throughout the region in multiple languages.

MINISTRY

EVANGELISM / Church

Picture
Sharing the gospel to bring people into a relationship with Jesus Christ. Many committed national preachers partner with us to continue to evangelize, disciple and plant churches throughout the regions of Southeast Asia.

LITERATURE / TRANSLATION

Picture
Translating Bibles, hymnbooks, and other Christian teaching materials in multiple languages throughout Asia. The goal is to give each believer the Word of God in their own heart language.

BIBLE SCHOOL

Picture
Facilitating higher education in Bible knowledge to equip and encourage the growth of leaders in the national communities. Students travel from all over to study in these four year programs.

Leadership TRAINING

Picture
Furthering the growth of Church leaders and pastors by meeting together and praying over the needs and concerns of each congregation. Encouraging and equipping them to overcome any problems that might arise in their current ministries.

Unreached People

Picture
Desiring to share the gospel with all nations, efforts have begun to minister to new unreached people groups. This includes the Shan,  N-Shan, and Pathong (Long Neck) people groups. Their animistic belief systems have kept them in fear and bondage for many generations.

Music

Picture
Ministering to Christian tribal churches through music is key in reaching people for the Kingdom of Heaven. Music is distributed through various mediums, reaching into homes, villages, and many corners of the earth where we cannot go.
