JEFF & MARY SILKWOOD
Jeff was born and raised in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Mary, who has had a passion to serve on the mission field since she was a young girl, was born and raised in Wood River, Illinois. They both graduated from St. Louis Christian College. Currently, Jeff works in evangelism and discipleship training in Chiang Mai, and Mary homeschools their children. They work to evangelize Thai nationals. Jeff has also been involved in getting teaching material translated and published for other South East Asian countries.
MINISTRY
EVANGELISM
Sharing the gospel to bring people into a relationship with Jesus Christ. Then discipling, equipping and empowering those believers to continue evangelizing, discipling, and establishing churches in their communities |
CHURCH Planting
Partnering with national pastors to disciple their congregations and facilitate indigineous church planting efforts. Preaching, teaching and serving in an advisory role to encourage the national leadership as they share Christ with their own people. |
DISCIPLESHIP
Discipling believers within the natural context of their working environment, therefore fulfilling the mandate of the great commission. This informal relational methodology seems to be the most effective method to deepen and enrich their relationship with Christ. |
