Dewayne & jackie liebrandt
In June 1987, Dewayne left his job at GM and joined NBCM. Dewayne and Jackie’s ministry calling is to, "take the Gospel of Christ to the deaf of the world”. Dewayne has learned 4 different Sign Languages and spoken Thai. He has worked with the deaf in 13 countries. The Liebrandts have a broad range of ministry outreaches to the deaf in Thailand and Colombia such as: deaf churches, church camps, video productions, short-term ministry programs, sign language classes, and job training. They have a hands-on ministry, with a world-wide calling, which is focused on one deaf person at a time.
MINISTRY
DEAF CHURCHESPartnering to establish Bodies of Christ for the deaf which provide them the opportunity to worship God in a cultural and linguistically relevant way. Encouraging each Church to receive training at local Bible Training Centers to serve their members and disciple their community. |
DEAF CAMPS & SeminarsSponsoring efforts initiated by local Deaf Churches to increase their learning and discipling needs. These efforts are centered on specific issues to those Churches and encouraging the Spiritual Growth of their members. |
VIDEO PRODUCTIONProducing visual materials which provide the deaf with information necessary for their daily Christian lives and understanding of biblical truths. These materials are available free of charge and can be viewed any time, anywhere. |
SHORT TERM MISSIONSWorking with the local Christian Churches in Colombia to build and develop their Church Camp facilities. Each member of the team will receive daily instruction on missions and opportunities to share their faith with Colombian Churches. |
SOCIAL NEEDSAcknowledging that each country and deaf group is unique as to their social concerns. These issues are addressed when recognized by the local Body of Christ who become advocates and facilitators to meet those needs. |
DEAF AWARENESSPromoting and communicating in the US and abroad to as many Christians as possible the need to evangelize the deaf with the Gospel of Jesus Christ using Sign Language. A world wide ministry focused on one person at a time. |
